Mentality of a champion - 3 important things for football - soccer players - Part 3
If you want to become a football player and you have no clear plan for how to you get there, I guarantee that you will not be able to get there, except through a lot of luck. One of the essential things you should know is that you need to set a clear purpose for where you want to reach and what you need to do to accomplish it.
Why do I say that? To give you an example: you have a plane, you have a pilot and fuel. You take off and you fly, you fly until the fuel runs out and you wake up that you are over the ocean, you are dripping and you will definitely collapse. So it is best to set a destination (a goal) where you want to go, because that way you will definitely know how much fuel you need to get there, how many stops you have to do to refuel and when you will get there and all of this has to be done by the pilot (you). If you want to get where you want, you have to be the pilot and not the passenger, because otherwise you will go somewhere else.
What does this have to do with football? Well let's see. If you do not set a goal for you where you want to go, you do not know what energy it takes to get there, when you will get there and what you need to do each day to reach the ultimate goal of becoming a footballer. If you set a well-defined goal, for example that you want to become a football player in 5-7 years, it will be much easier if you do a personal analysis and see what you need to do during this period.
You need to do the 3 things below, in order to have a greater chance in achieving your goal of becoming a footballer:
1. THE PLAN
You have to make a plan with what you will do in these 5 years, that is, you go much further and analyze what qualities you have and where are the areas where you are deficient. Then see what exercises you need to do to improve the areas where you are less good and try to develop the native ones.
What can I do in 4 years? What can I do in 3 years? What can I do in a year? What can I do in 6 months? What can I do in a month? What can I do in a week? ... and what can I do today to get me closer to my dream of becoming a footballer.
2. THE PASSION
Is football your passion or are you just forced to do a sport? If it is your passion and you really want to become a football player, then you have to realize that pro football requires sacrifices and you will not be able to waste unnecessary time when you could practice or rest.
Everything starts from your passion, so it is good to discover it from some early ages, because it will help you in the future. Do not be afraid to leave the comfort zone, because outside the comfort zone are the most beautiful things that can happen to you, even if it will be very difficult and sometimes you will get embarrassed.
3. THE VIZUALIZATION
"Ask and it will be given to you" is a quote from the Bible that will help you a lot in your life and all you have to do is think that the thing you want the most, becoming a pro football player, it's possible.
If you want to become a football player, view the moment when you reach your favorite team, think about how you will feel when thousands of people shout your name and how you will enjoy when you will score the first goal. Create all the images you want to happen for you and do this every day.
Do not think that if you vizualize you have become a footballer, the next day Barcelona comes and asks you to play in their team. NO! You have to work very, very hard and have a positive mindset, because otherwise you cannot go there. WORK is the key to success in football, even if someone is more talented than you, you can certainly work harder than him if you really want to.
Happiness comes when you do what you love, so please work hard, have a positive attitude all the time, because you are playing the most beautiful sport in the world: FOOTBALL !!!
